NEW YORK (Reuters) - Two children were fatally stabbed in a Manhattan apartment on Thursday and their nanny was arrested, local media reported.
Two other people also were stabbed, and one of them, an adult, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, the Fire Department said.
According to The New York Times and NBC News, two children were stabbed to death in the incident. The nanny, who suffered a self-inflicted stab wound, was taken into custody, the Times said.
The stabbings occurred in a luxury hi-rise apartment building 57 West 75th Street, near Central Park, the Fire Department said. The New York Police Department said it had no information on the incident.
