Gun in Texas shootout matches weapon in killing of Colorado prisons chief Mar 25th 2013, 19:55 DENVER | Mon Mar 25, 2013 3:55pm EDT DENVER (Reuters) - The gun used by a white supremacist parolee in a shootout with police near Decatur, Texas, last week was the same weapon used in the murder of Colorado's prison chief, the El Paso County (Colorado) Sheriff's Office said on Monday. The sheriff's office said the link was established through ballistics analysis by the Colorado Springs Metro Crime lab. Evan Spencer Ebel, 28, was killed in gun battle with Texas police last Thursday following a high speed chase through Decatur. Ebel has also been named a suspect in the slaying of Tom Clement, executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections.
