SAN DIEGO (Reuters) - San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, who is accused of sexual harassment in a scandal that has roiled the city, has reached a proposed settlement involving the litigation filed against him, the city attorney told reporters on Wednesday.

"We have reached a proposed resolution," City Attorney Jan Goldsmith told reporters. He added that the proposed settlement will be presented to the San Diego City Council in closed session on Friday.

"We won't have more to discuss until Friday afternoon," Goldsmith said.
