Credit: Reuters/Jason Reed WASHINGTON | Thu Feb 28, 2013 11:54am EST WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House of Representatives on Thursday rejected as inadequate a bill written by its Republican leaders to renew and expand the landmark 1994 Violence Against Women Act. The action, on a vote of 257-166, clears the way for anticipated final congressional approval of a bipartisan version of the measure earlier approved by the Democratic-led Senate.
